In china there are 4 guardians of the 4 compass directions celestial emblems of the Chinese Emperor. One is the Red Bird or Phoenix which represents South, Summer, Red and Fire.
If you translate ” summer red bird” as phoenix it could mean rebirth, immortality, and renewal.
